Mercura was founded in Aarhus by a team of sales professionals and computer scientists who had spent years working with complex product configuration and quoting systems. During these projects we repeatedly encountered the same problem.
Traditional CPQ platforms were powerful, but they were also extremely difficult to implement, maintain, and evolve.

Many companies invested heavily in enterprise CPQ systems only to discover that even small changes to pricing logic, product structures, or configuration rules required external consultants or internal IT resources. This slowed down sales teams and created unnecessary operational friction.
